A mighty 1.6-litre twin scroll Turbo High Pressure (THP) engine provides motivation to both the new Peugeot 508 THP and SW - a high pressure forced induction system engineered to offer a superb balance of performance and efficiency.
All 240Nm of torque is readily available from as low as 1400rpm, equating to effortless and instant response. while a power output of 165PS means the new 508 THP is efficient across its rev range.
Peugeot has always set the standard in terms of road holding and, consequently, driving enjoyment. At the front, two types of suspension are available:
- The McPherson-type front axle offers a new, high level synthesis of road holding and ride comfort.
- The 508 GT features a drop link dual wishbone front axle enabling a high level of body rigidity and driving accuracy.
At the rear, the entire range is equipped with a multi-arm rear suspension, designed to ensure excellent efficiency and maximum comfort.
